QuickView for GNAO1;jsessionid=71E361B6A21B5712E455C0DB91BE6503 (gene)

Gene Symbol:
GNAO1 Homo sapiens Homo sapiens
Full name:
G protein subunit alpha o1
Synonyms:
EIEE17, G-ALPHA-o, GNAO, HLA-DQB1, NEDIM, guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(o) subunit alpha, GO2-q chimeric G-protein, guanine nucleotide binding protein (G protein), alpha activating activity polypeptide O, guanine nucleotide-binding regulatory protein 2
Genomic Location:
Chr 16: 54783649-54948651
Description:
The protein encoded by this gene represents the alpha subunit of the Go heterotrimeric G-protein signal-transducing complex. Defects in this gene are a cause of early-onset epileptic encephalopathy. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
