However a number of modifications in contraceptive methods have been developed and should help reduce contraceptive failure. Among those, information and improvement of access to contraception are very important. Recent advances in contraceptive practice have also contributed to improve clinical tolerance and subsequently compliance. Finally, emergency contraception has evolved as well. Copyright © 2011.
