General thoracic and cardiovascular surgery 2012 FebIntravascular ultrasonography (IVUS) has been widely used in percutaneous coronary artery interventions to ensure optimal stent expansion. We report a case of successful emergent surgical removal of an entrapped catheter within the sirolimus-eluting stent and coronary revascularization.
