Journal of pediatric orthopedics. Part B 2013 JulPatellar instability is a common knee injury in children and adolescents. After first-time dislocation, a nonoperative course is widespread. In cases of recurrent patellar dislocation, operative therapy is widely recommended. This case report shows the complicating history after a period of numerous patellar dislocations with primarily spontaneous reduction and a nonreducible dislocation at the follow-up 2 years after a nonoperative treatment.
