Clinical nuclear medicine 2013 AprF-FDG PET/CT is a useful imaging modality to detect malignant gall bladder lesions. We present an image of a patient with a gall bladder mass that was found to be FDG avid but negative on F-fluorothymidine PET/CT imaging. This was later confirmed to be a case of xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis.
