Bulletin of experimental biology and medicine 2013 AprCholera toxin induced the appearance of ATPase activity in rabbit small intestinal mucosa. This enzyme significantly differed from other ATPases, including Na(+),K(+)-ATPase and HCO3(-)-ATPase in the small intestinal epithelium of rabbits, by some properties, in particular, by relation to divalent and monovalent cations and anions, pH optimum, substrate specificity, and inhibitory analysis.
