Clinical nuclear medicine 2017 JanInterpretation of iodine I whole-body scintigraphy can be challenging, as there are many nonpathologic findings that may present with increased radiotracer uptake. Radiotracer uptake has been reported in the literature involving the salivary glands, thymus, renal cysts, skin contamination, and other benign etiologies. We present the case of an incidental right wrist ganglion cyst demonstrating persistent increased uptake on I whole-body scintigraphy.
