Nutrients 2021 Feb 16A gluten-free diet is the mainstay method of treatment and the prevention of celiac disease complications. Therefore, an adequate nutritional counselling is necessary for patients diagnosed with celiac disease in order to prevent and treat the components of the metabolic syndrome.
