We report a case of periocular squamous cell carcinoma invading the anterior orbit that significantly reduced in size and regressed from invasive to in situ following treatment with oral acitretin, a second-generation retinoid. The residual in situ disease was then successfully treated with cryotherapy and the patient remains in remission 12 months following cessation of systemic acitretin. © BMJ Publishing Group Limited 2021.
