Naturally, endogenous porphyrins can provide sensitized disinfection power, and to photobiologists' delight, violet-blue light has potential virtues, but progress is needed before violet-blue light treatment can be used for microbe treatment of blood plasma, and yet safeguard against protein photooxidation.
