    A 55-year-old man with a history of ulcerative colitis status post ileal pouch-anal anastomosis underwent evaluation for pouchitis. He was found to have signet ring cell cancer within the pouch. Primary cancers of the ileal pouch are rare. Signet ring cell carcinoma is a rare form of adenocarcinoma that can involve the gastrointestinal tract and other organs.
