The coronavirus pandemic is an enormously high challenge for medical health services worldwide. The demand for effective treatment amplified the pursuits for therapeutic solutions. One element of the possible treatment is the use of favipiravir in outpatient departments and hospitals. Safety information of favipiravir is limited with the risk of potential cardiac side effects: only the two words of „rhytm disturbances” can be found among the very rare side effects.
