    The National Naloxone Reference Group has played a key role in the development of take-home naloxone programs, policy and practice in Australia. In this commentary we detail the origins of the group, some of its main achievements since its inception and its future directions in light of the major policy changes around naloxone that have recently occurred in Australia. © 2023 The Authors.
