Gene Symbol:
Scarb2 Mus musculus Mus musculus
Full name:
scavenger receptor class B, member 2
Synonyms:
9330185J12Rik, Cd36l2, LGP85, LIMP II, LIMP-2, MLGP85, lysosome membrane protein 2, 85 kDa lysosomal membrane sialoglycoprotein, CD36 antigen (collagen type I receptor, thrombospondin receptor)-like 2, lysosome membrane protein II
Genomic Location:
Chr 5: 92872899-92934634
Description:
This gene encodes a CD36-like type III transmembrane glycoprotein that localizes to the lysosomal membrane. Mice lacking the encoded protein exhibit an increased postnatal mortality caused by an obstruction of the ureteropelvic junction, deafness, peripheral demyelinating neuropathy and tubular proteinuria.
